Non‐pulmonary tuberculosis in Australia

In 1980, out of 1457 new cases of tuberculosis diagnosed in Australia, 816 occurred in migrants, 343 of whom were Vietnamese refugees. Non‐pulmonary tuberculosis comprised about 20% of cases. About 14% of the patients presented first to their local medical practitioner.
