The use of a Hudson mask is an effective method of achieving an adequate level of arterial oxygen tension in the treatment of pneumatosis coli. In this paper, we report the successful therapy of a patient with inhalation of oxygen in high concentration, and the physiological basis and potential hazards of such treatment.
