A case of cryptococcal meningitis in a 20‐year‐old Aboriginal woman is described. The fungal infection cleared rapidly during a superimposed meningeal infection with Pseudomonas cepacea. This is of interest as an apparent example of antibiosis in vivo , and the possible mechanisms of it and the need for improved treatment of cryptococcal meningitis are briefly discussed.
