premature babies require. More recently, it has been pointed out that a premature child must lose the effects of the large amounts of gonadotropic and other hormones which are circulating the mother's blood at this time. A careful history in cases of hypoplasia of the uterus in adults will often bring to light the fact that the patient was a premature baby. So that, even in cases where the baby survives, one cannot be sure that irreparable harm has not been done.
