A 30‐year‐old veteran heroin addict being treated with methadone maintenance suffered renal failure. He underwent haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and cadaveric renal transplantation while being maintained on methadone. This report illustrates long‐term treatment of heroin addicts with renal failure.
