remain a unique episode, and the authors express concern about the safety of bore waters used for regular human consumption. It seems reasonable to suggest that the Health Department should introduce appropriate legislation in association with the 'Vater Resources and the Mineral Resources Branches of the Department of the Northern Territory. It would also be worthwhile to pass on information about the outbreak to companies engaged in drilling in this area. Further, water from new bores brought into production for the watering of stock may merit similar investigation of its metal content.
