The results of a prospective study of 203 patients whose pregnancies were terminated as an outpatient procedure using simple equipment are presented. The clinic routine is described and the complications are detailed. The complication rate was low and the complications were not serious. The experience confirms the safety of outpatient termination of pregnancy.
