The absorption and excretion of amoxycillin and pivampicillin after oral ingestion have been measured. At least 72% of the amoxycillin and 63% of the pivampicillin were absorbed as these amounts were recovered in the urine. Serum levels were approximately twice those which follow oral ingestion of an equivalent dose of amplcillin. The amount of drug absorbed did not appear to be affected by the capsules being taken before or after meals.
