A case of non‐bacterial cystitis Is reported In a girl aged four years in whom the urinary bladder showed marked oedema and infiltration with numerous eosinophil leucocytes. A Casoni test yielded a strongly positive delayed reaction and eggs resembling those of Echinococcus granulosus were found in the faeces of the child's pet dog. These findings suggested a helminthic aetiology for the cystitis.
