The results of antifibrinolytic therapy and early surgery in subarachnoid haemorrhage are reported in 20 consecutive cases. There was one instance of thromboembolism, no increase in mortality or morbidity in comparison with generally accepted figures, and no recurrent subarachnoid haemorrhage. The Instance of thromboembolism that occurred would seem incidental.
