A case of gastroenteritis due to Salmonella virchow, complicated by septicaemia, orchitis, and testicular abscess formation in a young adult is reported. Focal manifestations, especially testicular abscess formation and septicaemia due to this non–typhoidal species of Salmonella, are uncommon. The patient became an asymptomatic carrier in spite of treatment with a variety of drugs.
