Patients with lymphomata and depressed immunologic function are susceptible to infections with organisms not usually pathogenic in normal persons. This patient with lymphosarcoma developed multiple cutaneous lesions due to the atypical Mycobacterium marinum. The lesions mimicked those typical of Mycobacterium ulcerans and were found in multiple widespread areas on the body. Complete resolution of all lesions followed a prolonged course of therapy with rifampicin and ethambutol despite documentation of severe immunologic impairment.
