An updated paperback edition of Poisoned Power (1971) by John Gofman and Art Tamplin is presented. It presents the classic case against nuclear power plants. It describes how nuclear reactors work, what the radiation can do, safety factors, citizens rights, and available alternatives. A new introduction has been written since Three Mile Island, and the authors explain why none of the information in the original Poisoned Power is out-of-date. There is also a new discussion of our energy alternatives. (MCW)
