Replacement of the aortic, mitral and tricuspid valves has been carried out in 19 patients. The results are described and compared with other reported series. There were two early deaths (10.5%) and two late deaths (10.5%), figures which compare favourably with the results in single and double valve replacement groups. The major complications were ventricular arrhythmias in four patients and late perivalvular fistulæ necessitating reoperation in two patients. Thromboembolism was recognized in only one instance.
