man are able to do, in order that he may concentrate on those skills which he has developed and which are so crucial to the efficient functioning of our interdependent economy. The role of the professional man in our society, whether he be medical practitioner, lawyer, accountant, engineer or whatever, is one of substantial economic importance. It does seem anomalous that the present tax structure operates so severely in discriminating against him.
