A case of acquired toxoplasmosis In a female laboratory worker is described. The clinical manifestations, notably headaches, malaise and lymphadenitis, and the hæmatological findings, especially the appearance and persistence of atypical mononuclear cells for 36 weeks, were consistent with an acquired Toxoplasma infection. Seroconversion was observed in dye, hæmagglutination and complement‐fixation tests, the titres being followed for 131 weeks after the infection was acquired.
