Despite the wide variety of methods of orchiopexy already available, there is still a need for a simple and reliable method applicable to general use. Such a method is the technique of perineal skin anchorage, which has several advantages over other better known methods. These advantages are compared and contrasted with established methods, and a technical description of the method is provided. Perineal skin anchorage is quick and easy to establish, and has proved itself to be safe and reliable, with only trivial complications, in a substantial series of operations.
