This paper sets out a number of problems observed at the Royal South Sydney Hospital Rehabilitation Centre in rehabilitating 1,116 injured workers over 15 years, with some of the techniques used. It also mentions a study of systems of rehabilitation of injured workers carried out in other countries with their worthwhile features, the two most outstanding being those in Ontario, Canada, and the State of New York, U.S.A. The findings of an inquiry conducted In New South Wales by Judge Conybeare in 1969 and 1970 into the “Feasibility of Establishing a System for Rehabilitation of the Injured Worker In New South Wales” are mentioned, with their possibilities for the future of rehabilitation of the Injured worker If they are Implemented in New South Wales.
