Fifteen untreated and seven previously treated patients with chronic granulocytic leukæmia received alternating courses of intermittent therapy with busulphan and uracil mustard. There was no significant difference in the rate of remission induction or remission duration with either drug. Uracil mustard was found to be a useful drug in the management of chronic granulocytic leukæmia, though offering no advantages over busulphan under the conditions of this trial.
