A case is presented of traumatic amputation through the ankle joint, with complete severance of the foot, followed by replantation of the foot. This, we believe, is the first reported case of a successful reattachment of a completely severed foot. The patient has been followed up for a period of two years, and at the end of that time, a good functional result has been obtained. The literature is briefly reviewed, and the relevant details are discussed.
