Experience in the treatment of 20 poker‐machine addicts by electrical aversion therapy is described. Twelve consecutive patients were assessed, treated and followed up. It Is suggested that in eight cases treatment was influential, and in three cases it was quite successful. Improvements In technique and conduct of treatment sessions are considered. The literature is reviewed.
