A substantial rise in titre of blood group iso‐antibodies in cases of myocardial infarction has been shown to be caused by the administration of heparin containing blood group H substance. The rapid elucidation of the cause of this phenomenon was made possible by the examination of material recorded as a routine by electronic data processing in the coronary care unit.
