Intravenous alimentation, with some additional precautions, is applicable to neonates and infants. A regime designed to provide the nutrients in a minimal oral diet and utilizing chemically inter‐reactive solutions was used for seven infants. The results are presented and problems discussed. Other series are reviewed and recommendations based on composite experience are made.
