The case is described of a patient who was treated for Waldenström's macroglobulinæmia with chlorambucil for more than six years. Acute erythromyeloid leukæmia developed terminally. The case is reported because of recent reports describing acute myeloid leukæmia in patients with multiple myeloma treated with cytotoxic agents.
