The kinetics and dose dependence of tolerance to goat gamma globulin (G3) were studied in adult CBA mice. Tolerance was induced with ultracentrifuged G3 and the mice challenged with G3 in Freund's complete adjuvant. The immune status of the mice was determined from the rate of elimination of iodinated G3 from the circulation. An effective tolerance regime was established which suppressed the immune response to goat anti‐CBA thymocyte globulin. The implications of this study to clinical medicine are discussed.
