Two cases of cryptococcal meningitis are reported, both occurring in Australian Aborigines during pregnancy. It emphasizes the problem in management of this deep mycotic infection. The first case was treated with amphotericin B. The second patient was started on amphotericin B, but later was changed to 5‐fluorocytosine. This may be the first report on the use of this drug during pregnancy.
