A prothrombin concentrate containing factors II, VII, IX and X (PPSB) was used in the treatment of a child with congenital factor VII deficiency. Intensive treatment with PPSB was given after a cerebral haemorrhage. The in‐vivo recovery of factor VII was found to be equal to the maximum value theoretically expected. PPSB appears to be a particularly useful preparation for the management of this rare congenital disorder.
