A new commercially available hæmagglutination test for rheumatoid factor has been evaluated and compared with the Rose‐Waaler and latex‐fixation tests for detection of rheumatoid factor in both serum and synovial fluid. The three tests correlate well In cases of rheumatoid arthritis, while in non‐ rheumatoid arthritides, the new test demonstrates a greater degree of specificity than the other two systems.
