A group of 209 women recently delivered in a public hospital have been surveyed regarding their knowledge and use of contraception. The results of this survey are presented. They demonstrate an inadequatc knowledge of contraceptive techniques. The need to remedy this ignorance by the provision of low‐cost family planning services is stressed.
