Information concerning 30 children suffering acute neurological symptoms and signs as a complication of phenothiazine treatment is presented. In the majority of cases excessive dosage was used, but it is pointed out that fever and dehydration predisposed to the development of toxic phenomena. Treatment with benztroplne was given to some of these children, and rapid improvement was obtained. In the majority of cases, however, no treatment was necessary other than cessation of phenothiazine therapy.
