The results of a survey of patients' attitudes to their family doctor are presented. Areas covered include choice of family physician, attitude towards group practice, appointments, working hours, emergency treatment, domiciliary visiting and telephone consultations. Patients' attitudes towards the use of social workers, check ups, hospital work and surgery, and the referral system are examined.
