The effect of a medical education programme on diabetes mellitus has been studied in a group of general practitioners. Changes in attitude were determined in different groups by comparing individual answers to identical questions one month before and three months after the programme. Results Indicated that the television broadcasts had a significantly greater influence on doctors’ behaviour than written Information contained in a booklet. The sending of questionnaires alone contributed appreciably to the over‐all improvement in replies. The success of the television component of this programme warrants consideration of further use of this medium in medical education.
