A total of 40 patients (most of them In hospital) were treated with cephalexin at a general dosage level of 1 gm every six hours. Some patients had more than one Infection at the same time, and these Illnesses are thus classified under systems. The results of treatment were as follows. Of 27 patients with urlnary‐tract infections, 16 were successfully treated, seven were cleared of infection but were reinfected with different or resistant organisms, one was cleared but suffered a relapse, and three were not cured.
