Medical audit is a method of assessing the standards of patient care by the study of case records. The techniques are simple and not too demanding on the time of skilled medical manpower. The data collected can be used to solve many of the problems concerning patient care which arise in hospitals. Examples of simple projects which can be undertaken in any hospital are given.
