Addition of the drug RA433 (of the “Persantin” group) to blood in vitro resulted in a selective disaggregation (or selective aggregation) of the red cells. This selective effect appears to be related to the blood group, the antigen‐A‐containing blood groups showing a statistically significant increase in the negative responses. The blood of patients with carcinoma showed also a statistically significant increase in the number of negative responses (that is, the occurrence of an increased degree of aggregation of the red cells).
