Australia is short of nurses. So are most other countries, but that fact does not make the matter any less serious here. Efficient nursing is impossible without well‐trained nurses in adequate number, and good medical care of patients in hospitals is impossible without efficient nursing. For this reason the medical profession must be acutely concerned about it.
