Clinically significant, Immune and naturally occurring antibodies as detected in serum specimens received and tested in a general hospital blood bank were found most commonly to have a specificity in the Rh system. A simple, efficient screening procedure to assist In the detection of antibodies in potential blood transfusion recipients in a general hospital population is described and discussed.
