A case of Meibomian carcinoma seen over the past two and a half years Is reported in this paper, in view of its extreme rarity. Certain aspects regarding its clinical and histopathological features are discussed, with special reference to them in the literature. In the differential diagnosis, chalazion, Infective granulomata, basal‐cell carcinoma and metastatic tumours are to be borne in mind. Since it commonly presents as a benign lesion, it is considered that any “lump” in the eyelid of a person aged over 40 years must be biopsied, in order to exclude the possibility of Meibomian carcinoma.
