Experience with the use of disodium cromoglycate (“Intal”) in the treatment of 50 patients with asthma is reported. Only 10 failed to show appreciable improvement. The use of steroid drugs and bronchodilators could be discontinued in many cases, and some typical patients are described. “Intal” represents a valuable addition to the therapeutic armamentarium, but it is too early to assess its long‐term effects.
