A clinical trial of glybenclamide has been carried out with 37 patients at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney. The success rate compared favourably with that of other sulphonylureas. The drug was shown to have a powerful hypoglycæmic effect, and there were no significant side effects.
