A study of 100 drug‐dependent clients who were seen at the Drug Referral Centre in Kings Cross, Sydney, is presented. Most were young adults, and the drugs taken ranged from marihuana to heroin. The data describe drug‐dependent individuals who remain within the community, and who still require the help of its services.
