It is difficult to know for whom Dr. Frost has intended this book. Similar orthopredic works are on the market and have served a useful purpose, because they have applied the science of mechanics to bone diseases, deformities and traumata, and surgeons have thus trained themselves into constructional architects. This work shows no correlation between an intensely academic approach and the clinical aspects of osseous disorders. On having presented a research monograph on the technical concepts of human structural engineering, Dr. Frost is to be congratulated.
