It is good to see stressed the following points: the necessity for the supervising doctor to do his own muscle testing, without throwing all the responsibility on the physiotherapist; the minimal use of splinting; the fact that by 12 months, 93% to 95% of recovery has taken place, and that "the eventual power of any paretic muscle can be deduced, at any point in its course, even as early as the first month, with fair accuracy"; and finally, that' we must not be so fearful, as is taught, of tiring a recovering muscle.
