Haying had recent occasion to point out certain defects in Dr. Taylor's work on Toxicology, we have the more pleasure in expressing our hearty coincidence with the general verdict of the two professions, medical and legal, in favour of this admirable treatise; which, like the one just mentioned, although printed in the Manual form, is really the most elaborate work on the subject that our literature possesses, and will unquestionably hold its ground as the standard of medical jurisprudence in this country,
