The article deals with impersonal constructions in the Russian and Norwegian languages, with the special focus on translatability. Examples, taken from the Russian-Norwegian corpus RuN, demonstrate that given little analogy between Russian and Norwegian impersonal constructions, there is some correspondence (if not equivalence) between the two classes.
