Synonymic correlations of temporal propositions in the English edition and its authorized translation of “Lolita” cannot be characterized as word-by-word. This kind of correlations turns out to be in more complex relations. This paper shows that the analysis of the correlations is adequate by revealing the relations between one proposition of the initial language and some language units from synonymic raw in the language of translation.
