FILM INDIE SEBAGAI MEDIA PENUNJANG KEHIDUPAN SOSIAL-BUDAYA DI NANGGROE ACEH DARUSSALAM

Film merupakan media komunikasi yang amat lekat dengan kehidupan manusia. Dalam konteks manajemen produksi film, terdapat konsep major label (film yang mengutamakan aspek ekonomi) dan indie label (film yang mengutamakan idealisme). Di Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam, film indie menjadi salah satu media informasi dan hiburan bagi seluruh lapisan masyarakat. Tujuan riset ini adalah untuk mengungkap fenomena film indie yang berperan sebagai media penunjang kehidupan sosial-budaya di Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam. Riset ini menggunakan metode studi kasus bersifat deskriptif dengan data yang berjenis kualitatif. Hasil riset menunjukkan film indie dokumenter nonfiksi di Aceh digunakan sebagai media advokasi, literasi informasi, dan sosialisasi masyarakat Aceh, sedangkan film indie fiksi komersial di Aceh digunakan sebagai media hiburan dan pelepas stres masyarakat Aceh. Film is a communication medium that is very closely related to human life. In the context of film production management, there is a concept of major labels (films that prioritize economic aspects) and indie labels (films that prioritize idealism). In Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam, indie films became one of the media of information and entertainment for all levels of society. The purpose of this research is to uncover the phenomenon of indie film that acts as a medium to support socio-cultural life in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam. This research uses descriptive case study with qualitative data. The research results show that non-fiction documentary indie films in Aceh are used as a medium for advocacy, information literacy, and the socialization of Acehnese society, while commercial fiction indie films in Aceh are used as entertainment and stress relief media for Acehnese
