Analysis of load carrying capacity and strain, cracking and strass states of reinforced concrete beam was carried out using the dynamic relaxation method. Numerical investigations for reinforced concrete beam symmetrically loaded with two concentrated forces tested experimentally by Buckhouse have been carried out. The states of stress, strain, displacement and cracking were analyzed in specific steps of the beam load increment. Obtained numerical results were compared with the results of experimental studies, numerical solutions by finite element method and theoretical analyzes taken from the literature.Keywords: mechanics of structures, dynamic relaxation method, reinforced concrete beams, load carrying capacit
