The authors of the article present the profiles of two outstanding military leaders from the interwar period. Based on the analysis of the subject literature, they interpret various approaches to leadership. In the context of the cited interpretations of leadership and the interwar period conditions, they describe General Tadeusz Jordan Rozwadowski’s and General Stefan Rowecki’s course of military service and the activity they undertook. In summary, they indicate the characteristic qualities of generals that allow them to be included in the group of military leaders.
