The article is devoted to the issue of distance education, which was implemented in Polish higher education due to the epidemiological situation caused by Covid-19 in March 2020. The introduction signaled the need for reflection on a distance learning place using new technology resources. In the theoretical part, the basic conceptual apparatus related to e-learning was analyzed, as well as legal acts specifying the conditions that must be met so that teaching classes at the stage of higher educa-tion could be conducted using modern technologies and ICT tools. Finally, based on the collected empirical material, reflection was made on the preparation, implementation and evaluation of classes in remote mode, indicating the potentials and disadvantages of total remote education. In describing the distance learning process, the experience of academic teachers was cited and development per-spectives in the use of new technologies in pedagogy were outlined.
